Bio
Of all the comic, absurd, rare and amusing creatures the world contains, I must be the supreme freak. - The Patchwork Girl of Oz

I'm a natural-born Ohioan, an adopted Floridian, and am now becoming a naturalized Washingtonian. I live a couple of miles outside of DC and love living "in" the District, despite the fact that I have nothing to do with politics. I graduated from college in May of 2005 and left the safety and comfort of my old job at a humanitarian aid agency in Feb of 2006. I went to the accounting department of a "start-up" portable storage company, but left for greener pastures after 15 months. Now I work in coal mining! I love my job and can't imagine ever leaving here unless they drag me out, kicking and screaming the whole way.

I'm absolutely obsessed with baseball and the Washington Nationals. From March through September I talk about little else in my journal and the rest of the year it's still about half of what I talk about. I am just starting to love hockey (and the Washington Capitals) but don't talk about it much here since I still have no clue what I'm talking about.

Other than that, I'm just another 20-something woman looking for life and love in the big city. Or something like that.

I'm incredibly full of myself and far too hung up on the little things in life. But I love the little things. I love my life and can't think of a single thing I would change about it right now.

Listen to the MUSTN'TS, child,
Listen to the DON'TS
Listen to the SHOULDN'TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me -
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.
- Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends

Why does a loving God allow poverty to exist in the world when He could do something about it? What if He asked the same question of you?
